Inspired by the formalism perspective from the Action Painting Movement, this work discusses contemporary gender fludity through a series of work that visualizing the evolutional trace of gender politics through the process of darkroom technique.

The developing bath will erase any unfixed images on photopaper, if we see paper as the human body, and the chemigram pattern as the sexual embodiments, the technique, darkroom development, can be seen as a metaphor for the slow but inexorable trace of the evolution of gender definition.

I apply chemical fluids on Ilford photo paper and create a dissolving geometry , that depicts the non-conformist gender ideas as a natural chemical reaction that occurs naturally as humans evolve. This visual explains the “decentralized” by eroding a single, authoritative centre of power through a kaleidoscope perspective.
